The signing of the Wall Street reform bill into law permanently increases the maximum deposit-insurance amount to $250,000.00. The FDIC encourages depositors with questions about insurance coverage to use it's Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator or call (877) ASK-FDIC. The FDIC also released a news release noting that the additional coverage is retroactive to January 1, 2008. |
